Alexis Oil Company is interviewing for a full-time technical sales position. Candidates should be dynamic, self-starting, motivated, and knowledgeable in industrial lubricants arena for our operations in Phoenix, Arizona. Industrial sales representatives will be required to develop and essentially run a micro-business that is supported by the company. The branch office location will serve as your primary office location and you will travel to planned and regular sales calls throughout your territory. We work from a “customer first” philosophy and place an extremely high emphasis on our customer service, technical abilities, and product knowledge.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Establishing and maintaining customers within an assigned territory.
  • Will work integrally with the Inside Sales staff to provide superior service and solutions to meet the customers’ needs.
  • Will work with warehouse associate to resolve shipping/receiving issues, schedules and returns.
  • The selected candidate will be directly responsible for performing all functions relating to growing sales and profit within a business unit.
  • Participating in all sales and company meetings
  • Participating in all company-sponsored sales and technical training sessions
  • Responsible for developing our customer relationships, including but not limited to:
  • Providing estimates and quotations
  • Developing new customer relationships within the market
  • Providing customer based application solutions
  • Converting business by working leads obtained from prospecting, trade shows, and Weekly Call Report
  • Presenting a professional image in personal appearance and dress
  • Following company and sales department policies

Job Requirements

As a Technical Industrial Sales Representative with Alexis Oil Company, you must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, a strong sense of integrity and superb organizational and time management skills.

Additional requirements for this position include:

  • Sales experience within the power generation and industrial markets
  • Basic fundamental understanding of sales skills and techniques
  • Experience with hydraulics and lubricants focused a plus
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • CRM: Salesforce knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of the Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah markets is a plus
